Who other than Denise Caston who rocks the socks off our feet to slide them right into our tap shoes, will present the 4th Annual Motor City Tap Fest. This year, Wayne State University will host a stompin’ good time from August 18th through the 21st. And we’re tellin’ our NEXT GENers because because you’re from all over the globe, and we heard that peeps from Honduras, Central America, Niagara Falls and the greatest of the states are coming to experience the best of what Miss Caston has up her costume sleeves.
Four days of master tap classes will be taught by the best, including Gregg Russell, Sarah Reich and more. The honoree Ardie Bryant who is recognized as “The Innovator of Modern Jazz Tap” will be the center of attention. Who’s this Bryant you ask? He’s none other than “the master” who’s performed for Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington and Count Basie to name a few.
We congratulate Denise Caston on her commitment to her craft and would like to ask her after this big event, “What’s Your NEXT?” She truly is a NEXT GEN innovator.
